        Do you possess extensive experience in clinical pharmacy or clinical infectious diseases, including in antimicrobial stewardship roles?If this sounds like you, join our team to help make a difference.About the role:Menzies is looking for an Antimicrobial Stewardship Mentor to join the Global and Tropical Health Division for our office in Dili, Timor-Leste.This role will contribute to capacity building within the national hospital and municipal referral hospitals as part of the Fleming Fund Country Grant.  The Mentor will assist in establishing systems for monitoring antimicrobial prescribing and use, and locally relevant approaches to promoting rational use of antimicrobials according to antibiotic prescribing guidelines.  Mentoring will focus on pharmacists and extensive interactions with doctors at the national hospital and referral hospitals.What you will bring: As a qualified professional with relevant experience in clinical pharmacy or infectious diseases, including antimicrobial stewardship roles.The successful applicant will also have:Ability to think analytically and critically and to synthesise antimicrobial prescribing data.Proven experience in the development, evaluation, and revision of antibiotic prescribing guidelines.Ability to coordinate periodic audits, assessments, and continuous monitoring of antimicrobial prescribing.Expertise in health systems strengthening and capacity development in low-resource settings.What you will get: Menzies is one of Australia’s leading medical research institutes dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and a leader in global and tropical research into life-threatening illnesses.
