We foster a culture where safety is prioritised and valued by every member of our team.  We are seeking applications from experienced Mine Foreman, working on a 6:4 roster, FIFO from any major capital city around the world. Reporting to the Project Manager, this key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment. Duties and Responsibilities To oversee the day-to-day operation of shift workers and equipment usage at an underground mine site To ensure all workers on shift are trained and competent to perform their duties safely and productively at all times Training of National Supervisors and workforce to a high standard Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner and any safety issues are promptly reported to the Underground Manager Perform the daily management, control and supervision of the working areas in accordance with all relevant Acts and RegulationsOversee the mines interest with regard to duty of care to all employees, sub-contractors, and visitors Organise crews, rosters and day to day running of that particular site Conduct daily work planning meetings / toolbox meetingSubmit incident reports in writing to the Site Manager Carry out crew training, practical assessments and review each employee's development, mentoring and performance Key requirements:  Previous experience in a high-speed development, mechanised mine. WA Underground Supervisors’ certificate of competency or equivalent. Strong understanding of and experience with modern production techniques. Proven ability to plan and coordinate the activities of multiple teams and a large and modern fleet of mining equipment engaged in underground mining activities. A current recognised underground shift supervisor ticket is essential National Police Clearance (within 6 months) and valid Driver’s License Demonstrated diverse leadership experience in previous roles Prior to hire you will be required to undergo a full pre-employment medical, including vaccinations required for the country you will be working in. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration, including regular incentive bonuses. Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Barminco team today.
