We foster a culture where safety is prioritised and valued by every member of our team.  We are seeking applications from experienced Senior Mining Engineer, working on a 6:4 roster, FIFO from any major capital city around the world. Reporting to the Project Manager, this key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment. Duties and Responsibilities Ensure client requirements are met contractually and maintain a robust and favourable relationship with the client Provide financial analysis and implementation of cost reduction initiatives Production monitoring and liaise with the operations team to optimise project deliverables Review mining schedules, plans and designs as required and monitor progress, manning levels and productivity analysis including budget and costsWeekly and Monthly performance reporting Management of Quality Assurance and compliance Assisting with the preparation of monthly claims and interface with our client Key requirements:  Strong background working with underground mining equipment and in a high-speed development mechanised mine Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering and underground supervisors' certificate of competency, or equivalent The ability to perform and act as the relief Project Manager as required The ability to influence and engage with operational personnel, with good communication and interpersonal skills Strong observation and analytical skills that translate to improvements Highly experienced with information management system and reporting tools (e.g., Pronto) including valuing the importance of information security National Police Clearance (within 6 months) and valid Driver’s License Demonstrated diverse leadership experience in previous roles Prior to hire you will be required to undergo a full pre-employment medical, including vaccinations required for the country you will be working in. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration, including regular incentive bonuses. Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Barminco team today.
