We foster a culture where safety is prioritised and valued by every member of our team.  We are seeking applications from experienced Maintenance Superintendent, working on a 6:4 roster, FIFO from any major capital city around the world. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this key position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop your career and work alongside experienced Underground Mining professionals in a safe, dynamic and outcome focused environment. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all allocation of tasks to the maintenance team; Ensure maintenance employees are operating with the appropriate protective equipment and clothing to safely operate on site and complete their roles; Assist in the investigation of all accidents, incidents, hazard identification and similar events to determine causes and corrective action needed to prevent reoccurrence and complete the necessary reporting; Ensure ongoing effective people management of the maintenance team by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and development for employees through training and development;   Prepare monthly cost forecasts and budgets based on planned maintenance requirements; Liaise with Client Representatives as required in a professional manner; Lead where appropriate the management of change process; and Identify and manage risk as required. Key requirements:  Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an underground supervisor – this is a mandatory visa requirement Extensive Sandvik, Normet and Volvo equipment exposureSubstantial experience working underground in high-speed development, mechanised mines Excellent working knowledge of technical and operating processes relevant to maintenance planning and schedulingAbility to work in a highly dynamic work environment – expat experience (desirable) Proven experience of managing a large diverse workforce and a large fleet of equipmentNational Police Clearance (within 6 months) and valid Driver’s License Demonstrated diverse leadership experience in previous roles Prior to hire you will be required to undergo a full pre-employment medical, including vaccinations required for the country you will be working in. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration, including regular incentive bonuses. Click on the Apply button to start your journey and join the Barminco team today.
