This role is offered on a casual basis and is based in various locations - Song Hotel Sydney, Song Hotel Redfern, YWCA Head Office and other sites within the Sydney region.This role is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint to surfaces to perform touch-ups or large painting projects. This role is also responsible for assisting with general maintenance requests that ensure YWCA buildings and equipment used by YWCA Australia and Song businesses is maintained to a high standard. ABOUT YOUThe ideal applicant we are seeking will have:Demonstrated experience in a similar position in painting and general maintenanceUnderstanding of various finish typesAbility to climb laddersAbility to carry heavy equipment (including painting tools and heavy buckets of paint)Ability to stand for long periods of timeDemonstrated collaborative working style, with good interpersonal and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage competing demands.Demonstrates versatility in responding to Front Office, House Keeping and Guest requests.A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation that advocates for equality.Strong supporter of Women’s Rights and striving for equality through influencing, advocating and pushing boundaries.Hold a valid NSW Drivers LicenceThis position will require the applicant to satisfactorily complete a national criminal history record check prior to employment.
