About the Role:

As the Reconditioning Manager, you will lead the end-to-end reconditioning process, ensuring all vehicles are prepared efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for coordinating inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, while managing workflow across the reconditioning function to meet delivery timelines. Working closely with the Used Vehicle Sales team, you will ensure vehicles are retail-ready, aligned with customer expectations, and delivered on time.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, operational coordination, and the ability to drive team performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the daily operations of the reconditioning department
• Coordinating vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repair schedules
• Ensuring vehicles meet quality, safety, and presentation standards
• Optimising workflow and turnaround times to meet business targets
• Leading, coaching, and developing a small team
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure seamless vehicle delivery

To be successful in the role you will need:

• Proven experience in automotive reconditioning, workshop control or a similar role (e.g. Reconditioning Coordinator)
• Strong mechanical knowledge, including diagnostics and fault finding
• Experience leading or supervising a team in a workshop or reconditioning environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
• In-depth understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Relevant trade or vocational qualification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A current and valid driver’s licence
