About the roleAs our Events & Fan Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a cohesive and recognisable game day experience that is uniquely Essendon. You will develop innovative consumer facing campaigns and fan development initiatives that support key strategic priorities including fan and member growth and increasing our national footprint across both professional Club teams (AFL & AFLW).Reporting to our General Manager – Consumer you will plan and execute the full fan experience on game days for both AFL and AFLW matches, being the lead contact and decision maker. You’ll manage the involvement of talent on game day including players, coaches, MC’s and other special guests. Ensuring fan development activities have clearly defined and measurable outcomes, you’ll deliver these activities in key locations to increase EFC brand affinity and fandom.About youWith a tertiary qualification in Sport, Business or Marketing, you’ll have experience working in major events delivery, preferably in the sporting environment. You’ll pride yourself of your strong communication skills that allow you to build strong relationships with stakeholders. You will have demonstrated leadership and people development skills and experience managing budgets. Alongside your skills, you’ll have a strong work ethic and a preparedness to work irregular hours according to the demands of a professional football industry, including evenings and weekends as required for game day and club event delivery.The PerksOur work doesn’t always fit the 9 to 5.
