Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Support Volunteer

Keeping our community connected to their culture - Italian, Macedonian, Maltese, Greek or Polish speaking volunteers warmly welcomedRemaining connected to their community is so important when someone enters aged care.  Doutta Galla residents come from many different cultures and backgrounds – everyone is welcome at our Doutta Galla Aged Care homes. Our residents thrive when they receive companionship, shared conversation and have the ability to enjoy various activities, music, arts, crafts, and books and especially engage in their own language.  We believe that volunteering with our residents is as rewarding for you as it is for them.  It brings joy and allows our volunteers and residents the ability to share memories and create new ones.  Even a few hours a week of your time can keep our residents connected to their culture. If you are looking to enrich the lives of others with your experience and skills and would like to join a welcoming, warm community who value your contribution, please contact us. We are a non-profit, non-denominational aged care provider looking for people with a generosity of spirit and an ability to connect with older people from all backgrounds.Training: All Doutta Galla volunteers receive orientation, training, and ongoing support.Requirements: National police check required.
