Senior Engineer
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to take full technical and engineering responsibility on a groundwork and RC frame project in Bristol. You will lead the on-site engineering function, mentor junior engineers and act as a key point of contact for technical matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking full responsibility for setting out all elements and controlling line and level
- Maintaining up-to-date construction drawings, registers and as-built records
- Checking building layout in relation to site boundaries and resolving setting out issues
- Raising and tracking RFIs and technical submittals
- Implementing site Inspection Test Plans and quality management systems
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers on site
- Taking off and ordering all groundworks and RC frame materials
- Use of Leica EDM (TS06 / TS12 / TS16) and CAD
- Completion of IT induction and training programme within the first 1–3 months
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Engineering / Surveying qualification
- Significant experience as an Engineer on groundwork and / or RC frame projects
- Proficient with Leica EDM and CAD
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- Degree or HNC / HND in Civil Engineering or Construction
- Chartered status or working towards
