Groundworker – External Works

We’re looking for experienced Groundworkers with a strong focus on external works to join our team.

As an External Works Groundworker, you’ll be responsible for completing high-standard external finishes on residential and commercial construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting site plans and drawings

• Installing:

  • Kerbs

  • Edgings

  • Block paving

  • Slabs

  • Pathways and driveways

  • Hard and soft landscaping

• Road formation and build-up

• Ensuring correct levels and falls are maintained throughout

• Operating tools and equipment safely

• Conducting daily safety checks and reporting maintenance needs

• Working safely around live services using service avoidance methods

Desirable:

• Valid CPCS/NPORS for machines such as:

  • Dumpers

  • Rollers

  • Telehandlers

• Previous experience in a similar external works role

• Experience working as part of a skilled team or gang
