Excavator Operator

Essential Role Requirements:

Must have or be willing to operate GPS
Comfortable operating a 20T Machine
Able to dig strip foundations
An excellent eye for finished works. For example, top soil, levelling muck, type 1, crush and road formation
Capable of lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes, drag boxes, and trench sheets
Able to read and understand levels and drawings
Acknowledge the need for dig permits before breaking ground
Experienced working around live services, and in service avoidance techniques
Able to competently carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, and communicate service requirements in good time to the site management team
Able to carry out essential greasing, basic maintenance and always keep machines clean and tidy
Must be driven to show respect for plant and maintain to a high standard
Proactive and able to manage time effectively

Desirable:

Any experience with or knowledge of GPS machine control would be advantageous
Additional CPCS/NPORS* tickets and experienced in operating any of the following; Telehandlers, Dumpers, Rollers
5+ Years experience

Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
