Drainage & Paving Groundworker

We are looking for a skilled Groundworker with experience in internal and external drainage as well as paving and external finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and work from drainage drawings and site plans

• Install concrete, clay, and plastic pipes of all sizes, internally and externally

• Use pipe lasers to achieve correct levels and alignments

• Ensure proper bedding, surround, and backfilling of drainage systems

• Construct and bench manholes, gully traps, and inspection chambers

• Work safely around live services using avoidance techniques

• Manage ground water by setting up pumps when required

• Lay a variety of paving materials including:

  • Block paving

  • Slabs

  • Kerbs and edgings

• Ensure correct levels and falls for all paved areas and external finishes

• Follow site health & safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment

Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in drainage and paving groundworks

• Valid CSCS card

• CPCS/NPORS tickets (a Bonus) for plant such as :

  • Dumper

  • Roller

  • Telehandler (optional)

• Experience working as part of a skilled team or drainage gang

General Expectations:

• Able to work well with other operatives and follow site programme

• Must have the right to work in the UK
