About Us Established in 1969, BE Campbell has grown to be one of Australia's largest privately owned meat operations. The company operates three processing sites including a pork de-boning facility, a case ready facility and an abattoir. The business serves a wide variety of markets including supermarket, retail, distributor, manufacturing and export. About the Role Reporting to the R&D Manager, this role will see you driving the development process of new products from concept through to commercialisation. You will be involved in running production trials to test the transition into full scale production, as well as ensuring that packaging is compliant with industry regulations. You will regularly liaise with key internal departments, customers, external ingredient and packaging suppliers so excellent communication skills are a must! You will document new product processes based on market requirements in an ever changing environment. Your new role will include:Driving new product life cycle management through concept, development  and commercialisation stagesParticipating and running R & D trialsWorking as part of a cross-functional team on process design and layout for new productsWorking collaboratively within the team to achieve team goals and outcomesPreparing samples and organising presentations for customersReviewing and signing off artwork for new or existing productsInputting specification detail for customers regulatory requirementsLiaising with external marketing and trend companies to identify trends, present trends to customers. About You Whilst previous meat industry experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. We are looking for someone who enjoys the creative process of food development and can bring fresh ideas to our company along with:A passion for food and the ability to develop consistent and quality productsExcellent communication skillsCuriosity for food and new product developmentExcellent understanding of HACCPStrong attention to detail and organisational skills Essential Minimum Criteria Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline Strong experience (ideally 2 years +) in Product Development A proven track record in developing and launching products  What’s on Offer The successful candidate can anticipate an excellent salary package coupled with a secure, long term opportunity within a growing family owned company.
