THE COMPANYEstablished in 1969, the business has grown to be one of Australia's largest privately owned meat operations. The company operates three processing sites including a pork de-boning facility, a case ready facility and an abattoir.THE ROLE Reporting through to our Procurement Manager, this position will see you assist in coordinating the purchase and supply of packaging, ingredients and services for the BEC Group ensuring planning and delivery on time and in full for production. This position works closely with Planning, Production and our Research & Development Teams so the ability to develop strong business relationships is a must.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Placing orders to minimize out-of-stocks, overstocks and maximize sales andReviewing forecasts on usages to ensure we have available what is required for upcoming productionReviewing actual consumption of stock verse planned consumption and highlighting anomaliesReview and maintain material safety stock levelsEnsuring vendors meet DIFOTQ expectationsSource and introduce new/alternative vendors for packaging/ingredients suitable for BECLook for options to reduce cost of material for packaging/ingredients into BECAssist Research & Development team by obtaining quotations for new products and ingredientsTHE CANDIDATEPrevious experience in a similar procurement roleNegotiation skillsStrategic thinking and planning skillsSound organisation skillsProficient skills within all Microsoft AppliancesAbility to identify and drive opportunitiesIn return you will work for a reputable Australian owned and operated company that pride themselves in training and developing from within.  AUD Wetherill Park 2164
