Livestock Planner

BECEstablished in 1969, the business has grown to be one of Australia's largest privately owned meat operations. The company operates three processing sites including a pork de-boning facility, a case ready facility and an abattoir. The business serves a wide variety of markets including supermarket, retail, distributor, manufacturing and export. JOB DESCRIPTIONReporting through to the Procurement Manager for Meat & Livestock, this role involves the coordination and planning of livestock to meet the requirements of our de-boning plant. This is a perfect role for someone who excels in creating relationships with a range of vendors.Whilst previous experience in fast moving consumer goods would be advantageous, we are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our Livestock team. We encourage recent Agriculture graduates to apply for the role, applicants with farming, agriculture or meat production experience will be considered favourableYour responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Coordinating between farmers, abattoirs and transporters to ensure all stock is shipped on time and in fullCollecting and loading data on carcass attributes to assist in the planning of productionScheduling of inbound trucks for deliveries to our site ensuring production requirements will be filledGenerating purchase orders and ensuring vendors are being paid correctlyMaintaining forecasts and completing data analysis To be successful in this role you will have:Strong planning skills and previous experience in similar inventory/supply chain roleThe ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environmentStrong efficiency in Microsoft suite of technologies (Excel, Word etc) along with SAP ERP will be highly regardedExcellent attention to detail and data analysis skillsThe ability to communicate confidently at all levels, as well as strong negotiation skills. If you want to join an Australian, family owned and operated company who pride themselves on training and developing from within and in return offer a competitive remuneration package, then apply now!
