Risk and Safety Engineer

ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines. ATCO also operates two progressive power generation stations - in Adelaide and the Pilbara.Based at our Jandakot office, we currently have an opportunity for a Risk & Safety Engineer to join our team on a fixed term basis until 30th of June 2022.This position contributes to the Gas Divisions systems and procedures to assure regulatory compliance, adequacy of Safety Cases and safe operation of the gas distribution network. Safety assurance duties includes administering ATCOs Management of Change (MOC) process; review and revision of ATCOs Safety Cases; conducting network and process safety risk assessments (Formal Safety Assessments (FSAs) and supporting the review and revision of ATCOs safety management system.What you will contribute to:Coordinates the Management of Change system in accordance with AGA-R&R-PR02 Management of Change which involves monthly monitoring and reporting of changes.Assist with the implementation of technical changes managed through the Management of Change system.Coordinates and or conducts Management of Changes risk assessments.Assists as required in the conducting of Safety Case, Project, Work Plan and Business Case Formal Safety Assessments (FSAs) and HAZIDs.FSAs are conducted in accordance with Safety Cases, legislative requirements, ATCOs and Technical Compliance risk management framework, procedures and guidelines.Communicates, or coordinate the communication of FSA findings and Risk Management Action Plans (RMAPs) to relevant ATCO stakeholders.Supports the review and revision of ATCOs Safety Cases.Supports the review and revision of Safety Management System documentation for which Technical Compliance is responsible.Supports the conducting of Safety Case, Inspection Plan and dangerous goods audits.Preferred skills and experience:University degree qualification in Engineering or Science.Demonstrated understanding and application of engineering design and process safety risk management principles and techniques.Experience in conducting qualitative risk assessments within hazardous industries.Strong time management, analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to deliver multiple priorities to meet deadlinesExperience with, or coordination of hazardous industries process safety Management of Change systems.If this sounds like you, please apply online at www.atcogas.com.au attaching your resume and cover letter.ATCO fosters an inclusive workplace culture where everyone is treated fairly and with respect.
