Regional Faults Response and Maintenance Technician

ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines. ATCO also operates two progressive power generation stations - in Adelaide and the Pilbara.ATCO is looking for a Regional Faults Response and Maintenance Technician to be based in Bunbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of customer service, maintenance and construction activities associated with the regional gas distribution network, in line with ATCO Gas Australia’s Asset Management Plan and operating licence responsibilities.What you will contribute to:Undertakes customer service, maintenance and construction activities associated with the gas distribution network in line with ATCO Gas Australia’s Asset Management Plan, Gas Utilisation Inspection Plan and relevant policies and procedures.Operates machinery, equipment and tools in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.Ensures all activities and associated assets are recorded against correct cost centres to enable the accurate costing of all maintenance works and activities.Undertakes inspections of gas distribution assets and records and reports any integrity, performance and functionality issues in accordance with company procedures.Participates in the "24/7 On Call Roster" at nominated intervals throughout the business cycle.Ensures all relevant paperwork associated with system maintenance activities is completed correctly and returned to the Supervisor within agreed timeframes.Assists in completing monthly inspections on work practices, vehicles and equipment condition to ensure compliance and relevant processes, procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.Undertakes tasks associated with the safe and effective operation of the Albany LPG Storage Facility.About you:Certificate III in Gas Industry Operations (Preferred but not essential)Energy Safety Class G Gasfitting Licence coupled with Energy Safety designation as Inspector (Gas) certification. (Preferred but not essential)Current Medium Rigid (MR) Class Drivers Licence.Western Australia Construction White Card / Blue Card.Workplace First Aid Certificate.Certificate in Excavator Operation. (Preferred but not essential)Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate.
