Support will include all technical aspects of Process Automation, Protection, Control and Business Information systems, including infrastructure and major maintenance activities.Specifically, this role will ensure harmonisation across the fleet of generation assets and their integration into ATCO's global objectives. The role will additionally cover the direct responsibility of ensuring BU targets are set and delivered for Operational Excellence activities and plant improvement/modernisation projects.What you will doOperational Support/ImprovementsAccountable to the Manager Asset Management & Performance for all Process Automation, Control, Business Information systems and OT cybersecurity-related site targets and objectives identified in the Business Plans.Provides OT technical support to power stations to ensure maximum life cycle performance and reliability and drive towards, or sustain, operational excellence.Works closely with ATCO IT provider to ensure shared IT/OT infrastructure is maintained and updated to ensure security and reliability.Provides cybersecurity advice and support to power stations for the operational technology in line with company policies.Performs activities regarding operational technology to maintain compliance with SOCI Act obligations, ISO 27001 requirements and ATCO Group policies.Provides approval and makes recommendations to ATCO Senior Management on significant changes to operating parameters, systems or limits that can affect the life cycle of the equipment.Partake in all Business-related audits as Lead, OT&CS. Takes the Lead as appropriate and is accountable for completing audit corrective actions as delegated.Establish and manage effective client relations with Joint Venture Partnerships and critical customers.Review the monthly Production Reports/trends to identify opportunities for improvements.Reviews and proposes changes to primary or critical equipment operations cycles.Act as Reviewer on behalf of Operations for all documents relating to Design reviews, Initial Project Reviews, Engineering Assessments, Engineering Work Requests and Management of ChangePartake in or lead investigations related to insurable loss incidents where required.Manage key contracts as required and as pertaining to technical responsibilities.Responsible for overseeing all aspects of project work and technical analysis related to the Lead, OT&CS position. Specifically, activities to support operating plant and business development projects.Implement as required project execution plans (i.e. design, engineering, procurement, construction).Develop capital plans to support plant operations & maintenance initiatives.Recruit and assign project and technical resources for operations and project development.Implement project execution plans (i.e. design, engineering, procurement, construction).Partake in, Lead (as required) and support the development of commercial agreements to support the operational and business development groups.Help lead the technical screening for project development opportunities, including project risk assessments in areas related to the Lead, OT&CS position.Develop, where requested, support platforms for customer life cycle economic models.Support responses to customer expression of interest, preparing proposals and negotiations to obtain an exclusive customer position on a specific opportunity.What you will bring:Essential:Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical & Instrumentation or equivalent)Detailed understanding of IT platforms used in both Business and Control systemsA good understanding of cybersecurity requirements for critical infrastructureA thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation and requirementsExperience in project management and technical leadershipStrong Technical, Commercial and Financial AcumenDesirable:Experience in Power GenerationExperience within a Utility environmentExperience with GE Micronet, Allen Bradley, WonderwareContractor managementWhy ATCO Australia?At ATCO, we challenge the status quo and aspire to impact the world positively.
