This role will engage and maintain strong working relationships with key operations and other internal stakeholders with precision-driven financial insights to support business decisions and meet business requirements.What you will contribute toMonthly and quarterly financial reporting to local management and ATCO GroupPreparation of consolidated financial statements on a calendar year basisPreparation of month-end journals, including consolidation entriesBusiness partnering with two power stations’ stakeholders, providing support on commercial related matters, facilitating month ends and forecast cost review processDelivering operational KPI reports and performing variance analysisPreparation of annual budgets for relevant entitiesLiaison with external and internal auditorsCollation of documentation to support the internal controls certification processOversight of the internal control procedures mandated by ATCO Group and the management of effective controls in place to ensure appropriate governancePromote efficiency and ongoing development in both business and system improvementWhat you will bringA bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, and certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)Minimum of 3-5 years' post qualification experience, and knowledge of the energy and renewables sector and its unique challenges, trends, and financial considerations is advantageousCollaborative team player, proactive problem solver and have highly developed analytical skills with the ability to extract data from financial systems and provide insights, recommendations and commentaryHigh degree of attention to detail and commit to meeting deadlinesSophisticated skills in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Experiences with SAP, Power BI preferredBenefitsAccess to additional purchased leaveNovated Lease and Car BenefitsEmployee Share Purchase PlanAccess to a range of corporate discounts, including health insurance, banking and fitness clubs.Become a member of Energy West Social ClubAccess to ATCO's Employee Assistance ProgramOur CommitmentDiversity is more than a commitment at ATCO – it is the foundation of what we do.
