Asset Integrity Engineer

ATCO's Australian operations are headquartered in Perth, Western Australia and specialise in creating innovative, customer focused energy and infrastructure solutions. ATCO owns and operates Western Australia's largest gas distribution network with more than 750,000 connection points and 14,000km of pipelines. ATCO also operates two progressive power generation stations - in Adelaide and the Pilbara.We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Engineer to join our Asset Integrity team based in Jandakot.The Asset Management Engineer is responsible for the managing of the asset integrity programs on the Gas Network and ensure asset is reliable and integrity meets Australian Regulatory standards. You will manage all the pipelines and facilities reliability and integrity activities, ensuring assets are in compliance with AS 2885 standard, ATCO Engineering Guidelines, and support engineering and operations in maintenance and repair works. With development of Hydrogen technologies, this role will be involved in the integration of this clean fuel into our infrastructure.What you will contribute to:Support team objectives in delivering fit for purpose solutions for projects.Apply critical thinking in asset integrity using industry and company knowledge.Provide operational engineering support for assets such as pipelines, pressure vessels, PSVs, and other static/fixed equipment.Provide recommendations relating to coatings and linings, material selection, cathodic protection, damage mechanisms and equipment fitness for service.Develop a range of strategic, tactical, operational documents such as Asset Lifecycle Strategies and Design guidelines.Implement and monitor asset integrity programs including condition assessments.Analyse asset fault data and risk based inspection analysis.Identify, investigate and assess deterioration/corrosion and ensure timely maintenance of the affected facilities.Implement methods to manage integrity, and optimize inspections frequency, maintenance cost and plant availability.About you:A tertiary qualification (Bachelor Degree or higher) in Engineering, with Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering preferred.Experience in the areas of corrosion, inspection and integrity management.Experience building RBI systems,Knowledge of AS 2885 including defects assessment and repair of pipelines.Knowledge of Non-Intrusive Inspection requirements will be highly regarded.Highly effective verbal and written communication skillsCollaborates effectively with other specialist disciplines to influence changeUtilizes technical expertise to find practical solutions to challenging problems effectively and efficientlyBenefitsAccess to additional purchased leaveNovated Lease and Car BenefitsEmployee Share Purchase PlanAccess to a range of corporate discounts, including health insurance, banking and fitness clubs.Become a member of Energy West Social ClubAccess to ATCO's Employee Assistance ProgramDiversity is more than a commitment at ATCO – it is the foundation of what we do.  We are focused on equality and believe deeply in diversity of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin and the myriad of other characteristics that make us all different.We are an Equal Opportunity employer and encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and women.
