Additionally, effective risk management is crucial to safeguard both personnel and the overall safety of operations, ensuring a secure and sustainable working environment. Key accountabilities for this role include but will not be limited to:Design and execute maintenance strategies to balance cost, risk, and performance, ensuring efficient and reliable operation of power generation assets.Develop and maintain asset maintenance strategies and plans, aligning them with industry standards and operational needs.Utilize data analysis to monitor asset performance, recommend improvements, and optimize efficiency while reducing operational costs.Contribute to the development of operations process safety programs, including safety in design and management of change evaluations.Create life-cycle cost models to support strategic asset management decisions, ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the asset’s lifecycle.Assess risks related to asset management and implement strategies to ensure safe and compliant operations.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports.Regularly visit sites, lead meetings, participate in training, and manage budgets to ensure effective asset management and compliance with safety regulations.Provide support to the New Energy business development team for growth projects and new initiatives as required. About you:You will bring a deep understanding of asset management principles, particularly in lifecycle management,risk assessment, and cost optimization strategies. The ability to analyse and interpret complex data onasset performance is essential for driving continuous improvement. Experience in developing and managingmaintenance programs ensures the reliability and longevity of assets, while expertise in risk managementhelps identify and mitigate risks, ensuring safe operations. Additionally, a strong familiarity with industryregulations and standards is crucial to maintain compliance in all maintenance practices. In addition, you will possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.Strong technical knowledge of asset maintenance principles and project management.Ability to interact regularly with site operations teams and identify opportunities for improvement.Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations relevant to power generation projects.Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating engineering activities for site-level projects.Knowledge of procurement processes, permit-to-work systems, and job safety analysis.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear instructions to contractors and other stakeholders.Self-motivated, adaptable, and a committed team player.Willingness to participate in short-term site deployments during major maintenance projects.2+ years of experience in maintenance-related engineering roles, preferably in power generation (preferred).Knowledge of programming languages (Python, VBA) or a willingness to learn (preferred). Why ATCO Australia?
